Finally I had a chance to see Deepa Mehta in action, the Semantic Desktop System whose description I recently reviewed (#83). This cleared some misunderstandings.

• There are, in fact, untyped topics possible, so I do not need to formalize my thoughts before time.
• And DeepaMehta does not attempt to be both a Concept Map and a Mindmap but a clever mix of them.

So my general impression is now that it is a very promising tool that should well be kept in view if it is not needed today. (And if it is needed immediatey, its creator might find ways to accelerate it.)
