The Anglistenchor Heidelberg
The Anglistische Seminar has had its own choir since 1990. The choir has a broad repertoire reaching from the Middle Ages to premieres by contemporary composers. Each semester, we perform one or two concerts with a variation of English, American or Irish pieces. There may be short as well as major pieces, mostly sung in English or Latin.
The choir consists of about 50-60 singers from the Rhein-Neckar region, both students of English and of other faculties and non-students.
During the semester we meet every Thursday at 7 pm in Room 108 of the Anglistisches Seminar (Kettengasse 12), in addition there is one rehearsal weekend (usually in a youth hostel in the region) and one or two rehearsal Saturdays.
