I am interested in exploring the infancy of Christianity, especially its historical and social background. I have obtained two Master’s degrees, the first in Japan in 2006 with my thesis “Ein Versuch des Zusammenlebens in frühchristlicher Zeit: Eine redaktions- und überlieferungsgeschichtliche Untersuchung von Apostelgeschichte 10,1-11,18” and the second in Germany in 2011 with my thesis “Die Jerusalemer Katastrophe des Jahres 70 und das Markusevangelium”.
My doctoral dissertation focuses on the catastrophe of 70 C.E. in Jerusalem, i.e., the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple and the city. I seek to examine the ways that each synoptic author interprets this disaster, and analyze the background of his interpretation.
