Comments P. sapphirinus mimics the color pattern of Philinopsis gardineri (Eliot, 1903), a sea slug (Order: Cephalaspidea, Family: Aglajidae) which is distributed throughout the Indo-Pacific Ocean. Check out the polyclad introductory page to learn more about nudibranch - flatworm mimicry.
