As observed by the photographer P. bimarginatus is fairly common
in shallow lagoons of the Red Sea. According to Newman & Cannon (1995)
it is often found out during the day in shallow reef water. Its vibrant
orange and yellow and contrasting black marginal bands suggest that this
polyclad is displaying aposematic or warning
coloration. |
